If you take a look around next time you are at the mall or out shopping someplace, you’ll notice on obvious fact about most people today. Most of us are overweight. A recent study by the government indicates that up to two thirds of adults are either overweight, or clinically obese. This is a growing problem in America today, one that needs to be addressed.
There are several problems with being overweight. Sure, if you are a couple pounds on the heavy side, and your self-esteem is high enough, you don’t have to worry. But those that are more than that can suffer from significant health problems in the long term.
The biggest cause of death today is cardiovascular disease. And the same things that contribute to obesity also contribute to heart disease. A sedentary lifestyle, and less than ideal eating habits. If you think you are in danger from these kinds of things, then it makes sense that you should try and address these problems.

It is a well accepted fact that more and more people are becoming overweight. Even in Japan, where people have been traditionally thin, there is a problem with what they call metabolic syndrome. Once we can understand why this global phenomenon is happening, we can start to figure out what to do about it.
Most people today simply don’t need to work very hard to make a living. Compared to just few years ago, because of recent technological advances, we can make a living with a minimum of physical activity. The first glaring problem then, is that we are not getting nearly enough exercise.
When we consider the food we eat, you’d be hard pressed to find something that isn’t completely processed and filled with preservatives and chemicals. This is because most food today is produced and shipped very long distances, so it must be kept fresh as long as possible. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make it very healthy for the end user.

More and more people today are suffering from a terrible disease that threatens to severely undermine your quest for a happy life. This illness affects more than two thirds of people today. Nobody, it seems, is safe from this horribly debilitating condition which is sweeping across the western world. What is this dreadful condition, from which there seems to be no escape? Obesity. We are simply getting too fat for our own good.
The unforeseen thing about this is that it isn’t a sickness of secreted cause like cancer or heart disease. It isn’t hereditary, and doesn’t come secretly in the night to otherwise healthy people. This so called ailment is solely a result of the choices that you make on a regular basis. You don’t go to sleep one night skinny, and wake up chubby the next day. It takes quite a bit of time and exertion to put on all that weight.

1. Grass-fed beef or bison (NOT your typical grocery store beef!) – I know most people think that red meat is unhealthy for you, but that’s because they don’t understand how the health of the animal affects how healthy the meat is for consumption. Keep this in mind — “an unhealthy animal provides unhealthy meat, but a healthy animal provides healthy meat”.
Typical beef or bison that you see at the grocery store is raised on grains such as corn and soybeans. Soy and corn are NOT the natural diet of cattle or bison, and therefore changes the chemical balance of fats and other nutrients in the beef or bison. Grain-fed beef and bison is typically WAY too high in omega-6 fatty acids and WAY too low in omega-3 fatty acids.
